Ok, I have just been informed that the KKK was not founded in Indiana, but at one time Indiana had the highest numbers of memberships. "The original Ku Klux Klan was created in the aftermath of the American Civil War by six educated, middle-class Confederate veterans on December 24, 1865.[6] from Pulaski, Tennessee. They made up the name by combining the Greek "kyklos" (κυκλος,circle) with "clan"[7] It was one among a number of secret, oath-bound organizations, including the Southern Cross in New Orleans (1865), and the Knights of the White Camellia.[8]"-Wikipedia
The Grand Poobah in Indiana did kidnap, rape, bite and torture a woman in Hammond, who later died, after failed attempts of suicide, of her infectious wounds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madge_Oberholtzer
Now, to correct the "vote twice". The long running joke in the entire "Chicagoland" are has been to "vote early, vote often". I cannot say I have ever voted twice, or have had anyone I know admit they have, but there is a lot of voting shenanigans in our area.
If I hear of anymore ignorant things that Hammond's sleezy Mayor has to say, I think I'll scream! Talk about voting twice, he's so two faced he could get away with it.
